Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo says he feels ‘cheated’ at Manchester United and is being tried to get him out of the club.

Manchester United did not qualify for the Champions League this season.

So after unsuccessfully trying to join a club that played in the Champions League, Ronaldo vowed in August that he would give his best at Old Trafford, as he hoped.

This time, the experienced footballer opened his mind in a wide-ranging interview with the popular talk TV presenter Piers Morgan.

Piers Morgan wrote on Twitter, “This is the most explosive interview of Ronaldo’s life.”

Ronaldo also expressed his anger at United’s current coach Eric ten Haag in this interview.

In the current season of the English Premier League, Manchester United’s position is fifth in the points table.

In this popular interview, Ronaldo was asked if he was being tried to be removed from the upper echelon of United, Ronaldo said, “Yes, not only the coach but two or three other people in the club. I feel cheated.”

Asked if any of the club’s senior executives were trying to force him out of the club, the 37-year-old Ronaldo said: “I don’t care. People need to know the truth.”

“Yes I felt cheated and some people didn’t want me here, not only this year but last year as well.”

Ronaldo captained the side in a 3–1 defeat against Aston Villa on 6 November, before not playing due to illness.

Manchester United coach Erik ten Haag left Ronaldo out of the squad for a match against Chelsea after he failed to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur last month.

Ronaldo told Piers Morgan in an interview, “I have no respect for him, because he didn’t show me respect. If you don’t respect me, I don’t respect you either.”

The interview will be broadcast in two parts this Wednesday and Thursday. He says Ronaldo was touched by the way he was honored at an Anfield match against Liverpool after the death of his newborn child in April.

The entire interview was 90 minutes long, but Morgan said in a written report for the Sun newspaper that after Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United in August 2021, he noticed Manchester United’s decline as a club.

“I think the fans need to know the truth,” Ronaldo said. I am here because I want to give the best for the club.”

“Nothing has changed at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club, nothing has changed.”

“I love Manchester United, I love the fans, they’ve supported me but if they want anything else, the club needs a lot of changes.”

Ronaldo says his vision for the club matches that of legendary Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson, who was instrumental in bringing Ronaldo back to United.

“He knows better than anyone that the club is not on the path it should be on.”
