Russian commander’s rare confession about Ukraine forces

The new commander of Russia’s military in Ukraine has made a rare admission. He said that the Russian forces are under the pressure of Ukrainian resistance to retake the southern and eastern areas of Ukraine. A few weeks ago, Moscow claimed to have acquired the area. Reuters news

Russia has expressed another concern. The Kremlin-based strategic chief in the southern region of Kherson said in an announcement on Tuesday that civilians had been systematically evacuated from four towns along the Dnieper River.

“The situation in the area where special forces operations are being conducted is very tense,” Russian Air Force General Sergei Sarovykin, who is now in charge of operations in Ukraine, told the state-run Russia 24 news channel.

Sarovikin also said in Kherson area, “The situation in this area is difficult. Enemies are purposefully attacking various infrastructure and residential buildings in Kherson.

Reuters reports that Russian forces have retreated 20-30 kilometers from Kherson in the past few weeks. There is a danger of blocking Russian forces on the west bank of the Dnipro River. Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Russian Council of Zaporizhzhia, said Ukrainian forces shelled the Russian-held town of Energodar throughout the night. Several workers of the Zaporizhzhya Center live in that city.

In Ukraine, on Wednesday, Vladimir Rogov said on the social media Telegram app that there were several shelling attacks on the outskirts of the city of Enerhodar. There have been 10 attacks around a thermal power station. However, Reuters could not verify the authenticity of the attack.

Ukraine and Russia have denied attacks on civilians. Ukraine accuses Russia of war crimes.

Russia took control of Kherson at the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war. The city is still under Russian control. But the counter-reply of Ukraine is coming here soon, Russian forces say.

Ukraine accuses Russia of using Iran-made kamikaze drones. However, Iran has denied supplying such drones to Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had destroyed about a third of the country’s power plants in the attack.
